My name is Charlene Vernon-Edwards a Licensed Master Social Worker and founder of Opal Healing Corner - Hem of Love, LLC. As a LMSW, I have experience with working with adults, children, and family within the nonprofit organization systems in child welfare and educational services. I have psychotherapy experience with adolescents and adult with mild to severe mental health services (Bipolar, Major Depressive Disorder, Adjustment Disorder, and etc). I have a passion in providing support and guidance to those who have challenges in obtaining and understanding the resources that are geared to their needs. I specialize in a Strength-based and Client-centered approach to my skillset.
To enhance the mindset of black women who face challenges with the ability to stabilize their mental health. Opal Healing Corner- Hem of Love will provide therapeutic support in re-building strong, knowledgeable, and inspiring women to be in control of their mental health.
To rebuild black women mental health as well they see more of who they are and what they can do. Take control of themselves in more healthy way. In addition, provide support to women who may face other challenges in life.

Opal Healing Corner-Hem of Love was founded in 2024 birthed to bring knowledge and acceptance to the prevalence of mental health in the black community, especially black women.
This service is to educate women who are suffering with mental health and understand they are not alone. This website will provided updated information on community resource for black women and their love ones'. Hem of love wants to provide a place of love, respect and build the self esteem in women of all ages.
Opal Healing Corner - Hem of Love, LLC reflects the scripture from, Matthew 9:21-22, for she said within herself, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.
